Sights include: St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Haus der Musik, a tour of the Musikverein, visiting Hofburg and Schönbrunn Palaces, and an optional tour of the Spanish Riding School. We'll also take a day trip to Eisenstadt to see where Haydn lived and worked, and another day trip to see where Beethoven was living when he wrote the Heiligenstadt Testament and visit the Musicians' Circle in the Vienna City Cemetery. In Salzburg, we'll take a Sound of Music tour to see the sights around the city, and I'll lead a walking tour of the charming old town, including Mozart's birthplace and later residence. Please expect to walk on cobblestone streets every day; Vienna is fairly flat but Salzburg has more hills.
