Sights include: Da Vinci’s The Last Supper, a guided tour of La Scala, the Duomo in Milan, a tour of a luthier’s shop and the Museo del Violono in Cremona, the Ducal Palace and a cooking class in Mantua, a private tour of St. Mark’s Cathedral in Venice, and more.

Please expect to walk on cobblestone streets and climb stairs every day. Doing some (or a lot of!) walking in preparation will immensely affect your enjoyment.

Included in the prices listed below:
- comfortable but reasonable accommodations
- food: daily breakfast, three to four group dinners, three lunches
- all concert tickets and entry to museums
- travel: a private driver from Milan to Cremona and Mantua, train tickets from Mantua to Venice
- guide fees
- a pre-trip Zoom meeting to get acquainted, as well as reading/listening lists if you're extra excited to geek out (no tests, I promise!)

Because of unpredictable exchange rates, we have tracked expenses in Euros, but of course will accept dollars for payments. We are requesting a €1000 ($1150) deposit by August 15; please let us know ASAP if you are interested in joining us and we will send details on how to submit. The final payment will be due 60 days prior to departure.

Vienna & Salzburg

Most of our time was spent in Vienna, where we toured sights like the Imperial Treasury at the Hofburg Palace, and Schönbrunn Palace. We toured the Musikverein and heard concerts in both the Brahms Hall and the Golden Hall. We traveled out to Beethoven's apartment in Heilegenstadt and explored the Central Cemetery, including the Musicians' Circle. After taking a train to Salzburg, we enjoyed a Sound of Music tour and a private tour of the Salzburg Cathedral organs.
April 30–May 6, 2025
Leipzig & Weimar
Germany ๐ฉ๐ช
We began in Leipzig, Germany, where we toured the Mendelssohn-Haus, the Bach Museum, and Thomaskirche, and heard the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchester in concert. We traveled to Weimar, where we toured the Goethe Museum and the Liszt-Haus, and heard a chamber music concert of Mozart and Schubert. From Weimar, we took day trips to Meiningen and Eisenach.
